Rita Dela Cruz joined Lindquist, von Husen & Joyce LLP as an auditor in August 2001, became a principal in January 2006 and became partner in 2012. She works with not-for-profit organizations with emphasis on foundations and community development financial institutions. Her other areas of specialization include audits of real estate developers, for-profit real estate organizations, affordable housing partnerships, property managers, and social service providers. Prior to coming to the U.S. in 2001, Rita had fourteen years of experience in Manila, Philippines, working with a national auditing firm and occupying senior management positions in private industry companies.
Rita is a frequent speaker in seminars and workshops for tax-exempt organizations. She enjoys both interacting with clients and the mental stimulation of technical audit work. Many of the organizations she works with have come to see LvHJ as their partner year after year for the accounting work.

Rita is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and a Board member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – U.S. Chapter. She is also currently the Treasurer of a nonprofit organization that provides permanent and affordable housing for persons with developmental disabilities.
