Joyce E. Lively, CPA
Consulting Manager
“
I enjoy the opportunity to be a team player with clients and help them develop systems that improve their efficiency and controls, and then watch them make it happen!”
Joyce Lively joined Lindquist, von Husen & Joyce LLP in 1989. After leaving in 1990, she returned to the firm in 2002 to provide outsourced controller/CFO services to clients. She also provides in-house training for accounting and non-accounting staff on issues relative to not-for-profit organizations. As a member of the audit team, Joyce also prepares, oversees and manages audit engagements of social services organizations, corporations and limited partnerships.
For nearly fourteen years, Joyce served as controller for two separate non-profit affordable housing developers, including one of the largest affordable housing developers in California. This experience permits her to provide in-depth industry knowledge, to clients and LvHJ staff, on matters concerning tax, audit and other advisory services. She also uses her psychology education and 10 years of experience as a social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare to understand the unique mission and needs of social services agencies.
Clients count on Joyce for:
- A quick grasp of technical concepts and the ability to provide clear feedback
- Insight that is “on a par” with industry insiders
- Efficient and timely oversight and training
- Ability to jump into an unknown situation and quickly assess the needs of the client
In her spare time, Joyce provides accounting oversight services for a San Francisco synagogue.
