Charlotte S. Tay joined Lindquist, von Husen & Joyce LLP in 1998 and is known for her technical accounting strengths and also her connection with her clients. She focuses on audits of real estate developers, property managers, social service providers, not-for-profit organizations and professional services providers. She frequently provides advisory services and educational training sessions to clients and the general public in the areas of affordable housing, tax-credit cost certifications and related fields.
Charlotte is the head of LvHJ’s audit department and is responsible for the department’s policies and procedures. She has assisted the firm in developing a strong mentoring program as well as consistent and well-attended weekly CPE trainings for continuing professional development. As the Head of Quality Control, Charlotte is the lead contact for LvHJ’s peer review program and is listed as a peer review team member for other firms.

In high school, Charlotte focused on science, but her love of numbers drew her to major in accounting and finance in college. She still enjoys the numerical parts of accounting, but has found that she also thrives on client service and earning their trust. Outside of public accounting, she worked for a major multi-national corporation and a consultant placement firm.

Charlotte is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. As a lifetime member of the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, she is also a member of the National Accounting Fraternity of Beta Alpha Psi and the National Business Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma. She was awarded the Medallion Award for excellence in accounting and finance by the Financial Executive Institute–Los Angeles Chapter in 1995.
